Terms of Use

The most important thing to know
MedSmartIQ provides medication intelligence and educational information. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it does not:
- Diagnose any medical condition.
- Prescribe, start, stop, or change any medication or dosage.
- Replace your physician.
- Replace your pharmacist.
- Provide emergency medical care.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) immediately. Never start, stop, or change a medication based on information in this app without first talking to a qualified healthcare professional.
What MedSmartIQ actually does
MedSmartIQ helps you keep track of your medications and understand medication-related information. Safety findings (such as possible interactions) are generated by a deterministic, rules-based evaluation of your medication list against governed clinical reference content — not by AI. MedSmartIQ separately uses AI to translate an already-generated finding into a plain-language explanation, and to answer follow-up questions about it. The AI does not decide what counts as a finding, does not independently evaluate your medications, and its explanations are not themselves medical advice.
Your account
You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for keeping your account credentials secure. You must be 18 or older to use MedSmartIQ. You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app; deletion is immediate and permanent.
Acceptable use
Use MedSmartIQ only for its intended purpose — managing and understanding your own medication information. Don’t use it to store or process another person’s medical information without their knowledge and consent, and don’t attempt to interfere with, reverse-engineer, or misuse the service.
No warranty
MedSmartIQ is provided “as is.” While we take medication safety information seriously and rely on governed clinical reference content, we don’t guarantee the app is error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will catch every possible medication issue. It is a tool to support your own conversations with healthcare professionals, not a replacement for their judgment.
